Service & Volunteer Recognition

The Weight of the Blanket

A volunteer recognition event is a chance to notice the people who keep showing up. Trevor brings his story of service to a talk focused on their contribution and the people who depend on it.

Recognizing the work your people do

Sorting donated coats, preparing food or helping run a walkathon all depend on people who give their time. This talk puts those people at the center. Trevor draws on the early outreach of his campaign and his later work with donated goods to recognize the care behind everyday acts of service.

He connects that history to the work your group is doing now, giving volunteers a chance to recognize one another and remember why they got involved. The focus is on their contribution and the people who depend on it.

Tell Trevor who you are celebrating

When you get in touch, share what your volunteers do, whom their work helps and what your event is recognizing. Those details help Trevor choose stories and an emphasis that fit your group.

Shaped for your event

Every talk is shaped around your audience, your event and what you want people to take away. Trevor works with organizers to choose the stories, emphasis and format that fit.

Does a group have to be large or already involved in charity to invite you?

No. What matters to me is the chance to reach someone. If one person leaves motivated to do some good, that matters.
